Holistic Aquila offers deeply held healing spaces, online and in person, for people to feel safer, seen, and supported as their full selves.

My approach is holistic, weaving together body-based somatic therapy, Reiki, sound healing, embodied spirituality, shamanic practices, and community care. No matter the modality, the goal is always the same: to help you feel more at home in your body, more present in your life, and more resourced to meet yourself where you’re at with compassion.

Whether in group settings or 1:1 sessions, my work is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and whole-person healing.

Many people come to this work feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in cycles of stress, burnout and emotional shutdown.

They’re not at crisis point, but they know that something needs to shift. You might be looking for deeper connection with yourself, more nervous system balance, or simply a space where you can breathe, be seen, and start healing without pressure.

That’s where I come in.

Astrid Jansen

Hi, I’m Astrid

I often support people at the beginning of their healing journey. They may be navigating chronic stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm or chronic illness. By offering a grounded, compassionate space where your whole self is welcome, you can begin to gently come home to yourself and experience a deeper body connection.

What makes my work carry so much integrity is the deep intention I bring to holding space which comes from my lived experience of going on this journey myself, through complex trauma recovery and chronic illness. I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and heard.

The feedback I receive most often is that people feel truly held in my sessions, that they can show up as their authentic selves without judgment.

I hold strong values around cultural respect, inclusivity, accessibility, and honoring the lineages of the healing practices I’ve trained in. This work is always about connection, not separation.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when we integrate body, mind, and spirit, and when we are held in community along the way.

If you’re curious about online somatic therapy and how it might support you, I offer a 6-session online package designed to help you build nervous system resilience over time.

This gives us the space to go deeper together, and for you to start noticing real shifts in how you relate to yourself and the world around you. If you’re interested in the other modalities I offer, we can weave those in too.

At Holistic Aquila, all my work is lead by my core values

Accessibility

As a queer, neurodivergent and disabled business owner, accessibility is embedded into the heart of my practice for both my clients and myself. I’m conscious of being clear about what I can offer within my capacity so I can give fully to my clients, while taking care of myself. I design my in-person 1-1s, community events and Reiki trainings to be as accessible and welcoming as possible. My online somatics sessions are also created with accessibility in mind, allowing people to join from home.

Inclusive community

True community is built with inclusivity at its core. I welcome people from all backgrounds and genders, supporting those who are disabled, neurodivergent, from racially and ethnically diverse communities, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My trauma-informed training supports me to hold safer spaces that facilitate connection.

Holistic approach

All of my work is rooted in a deep understanding of our innate wholeness. Healing happens when we recognise that our emotional, physical, and energetic experiences are deeply intertwined. When you make space to relax the mind and soul, it inherently translates to the body. Through my various offerings; somatic therapy, reiki, shamanic healing, sound baths, we create space for release, integration, and meaningful transformation that respects the full spectrum of who you are.

Cultural Respect and Integrity

A core value in my work is honoring the roots of the practices I share. In my shamanic healing work, I hold deep respect for the Indigenous lineage I’ve trained in, and I am committed to practicing in a way that uplifts cultural appreciation rather than appropriation. This means acknowledging the origins, giving credit to the teachers and traditions, and engaging with these healing practices with humility, gratitude, and ongoing learning. Respecting the cultures these traditions come from is essential to how I work.

“I came to my session with an open mind and a willingness to try new experiences. I left with a new level of relaxation, mental quiet and peace. I’m still very new but I can already tell this is a new essential in my life.”
